Project Title: She Grows Resilience
Description: A behavioural Change Project
Theme: Community development, Behavioural Change, Agriculture.
Scope: Savannah Region-Damongo.
Activist's Name: Seidu Hunaisatu

Introduction
Hunaisatu Saako—Field Officer, youth advocate, and climate activist—is leading the charge for climate-smart agriculture through behavioural change to enhance yields for rural communities and smallholder farmers, thereby improving their livelihoods. she is a participant in the Climate Activist Boot Camp Programme. Saako will spearhead the SHE GROWS RESILIENCE initiative, which aims to promote the adoption of climate-smart agriculture (CSA) practices.
Problem Statement
Women farmers in Northern Ghana face significant challenges due to climate change including erratic rainfall, droughts, and declining crop yields.
Despite exposure to Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) techniques, adoption remains low due to behavioural and socio-economic barriers further exacerbated by limited access to land and resources, hindering their ability to adapt and build resilience.
Proposed Solution
Utilizing Behavioural Change Interventions and Activities to Enhance the Adoption of Climate-Smart Agriculture in Damango.
Goal
The initiative aims to boost the adoption of climate-smart farming techniques among 70% of women farmers within a year, enhancing food security and crop yields through better land and water management. Key goals include widespread adoption of these practices, increased land ownership, and improved local stewardship of resources. To achieve this, the project will provide hands-on training on demonstration farms, create peer-led farmer groups, offer incentives and awards for sustainable practices, and host quarterly community gatherings for recognition and team building.
Funding
With a budget of 15,000GHS, SHE GROWS RESILIENCE will catalyse the adoption of Climate-Smart Agriculture in Damango Municipal.
