Job Title: Head of Programmes

Job Summary
The Head of Programmes will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of all programmatic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission to empower youth and drive sustainable development. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of experience in multi-donor project management, a deep understanding of the youth development context, and a proven track record in delivering impactful and scalable programs.

Key Responsibilities
Program Development and Management

Design, implement, and oversee the delivery of high-impact programs in youth development.

Ensure program alignment with organizational goals, donor priorities, and beneficiary needs.

Lead the development of program frameworks, strategies, and work plans.

Ensure timely and quality implementation of multi-donor funded projects, meeting donor compliance requirements.

Resource Mobilization and Partnership Management

Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.

Lead proposal development and grant applications to secure program funding.
-
Ensure donor reporting is completed accurately and on time.

Foster collaborations with government agencies, private sector partners, and other NGOs to expand program reach.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL)

Develop and implement robust MEAL frameworks to track program impact and outcomes.

Use evidence-based approaches to inform program design and continuous improvement.

Prepare and present program performance reports to internal and external stakeholders.

Leadership and Team Management

Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to program staff.

Lead capacity-building initiatives to enhance team performance and project delivery.

Promote a culture of innovation, learning, and collaboration within the program team.

Qualifications and Experience

Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field
-
5–7 years of progressive experience in program management, with a focus on multi-donor funded projects.

Demonstrated knowledge of youth development issues, challenges, and opportunities.

Proven ability to manage complex projects and multi-stakeholder partnerships.

Strong understanding of donor requirements, compliance, and reporting standards.

Prior experience working in/with INGOs and ability to manage stakeholder relationships.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in project management tools and frameworks.
