USAID/OTI supported YEFL-Ghana and the Fulani Youth Association of Ghana (FUYAG) to co-create and jointly implement a Fulbe youth leadership and mentorship program to increase the leadership and conflict resolution skills, voice and agency of Fulbe youth leaders and enhance their collaboration with other citizen groups in target communities on key issues of security and socio-economic integration.

This six(6) months pilot project brought together 75 Fulbe youth from the 5 Northern Regions for a 10 days empowerment bootcamp training. Supported them to develop action plans with which they engaged, mobilized and sensitized their communities on the need for peaceful and social cohesion.

This project overall contributed to strengthening the leadership capacity, representation and inclusion of this unique ethnic group at their community level through regional to national level.
